Last summer I read 5 chapter books to my children that we had never read before. They really enjoyed the books and the activities we did after reading each book.
This year I have chosen five books to read to my children that are by no means new books but they will be new to us.
Here are the books we will be reading.

As you can see this is an eclectic group of books. With kids ranging in age from nearly 15 down to 3 it can be difficult to find books that they will all enjoy.
I have focused mostly on the older kids with my choice of books because I read picture books to Janna throughout the day.
These books should keep us entertained this summer and I am looking forward to getting started tonight. I will let the kids decide which book we read first.
When we finish a book we will complete a fun activity to go with the book. I will write a post when we are done to let you know about the activity and our thoughts about the book.
Have you read any of the books on our list?
Here are the posts I have written about the books we have read so far.
