We have had another busy week, but we are loving every minute of summer. Here’s a look at our week, in pictures.
Sunday
When I put this sweet little blue and white dress on Janna before church last Sunday, it brought back so many memories of another special little girl of mine who wore it nearly 12 years ago. That little girl (Julia) didn’t have nearly as much hair, but she was just as beautiful.
Monday
The big kids were taste testing two different recipes of Turkish Delight that we had made to go along with our reading of the book The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. None of us had ever eaten it before, so we aren’t even sure if we got either recipe right. Oh, well. It was fun anyway. Check my other blog next week for all of the details.
Tuesday
Julia and I got our hair cut on Tuesday afternoon. The beautician used a flat iron on my naturally curly hair. When my boys would look at me they gave me the strangest looks, Joseph especially. When I washed my hair the next day and the curls came back they thought I looked more like myself.
Wednesday
On Wednesday I shared with you how our garden has been growing. These tomatoes aren’t ripe yet, but we will be excited when they are.
Thursday
James has become quite a big help with Janna. When she wakes up after her naps he always beats me to her crib. When I took this picture he had her on the glider on our deck. She loved rocking with her big brother.
Friday
I just love Joseph’s smile, even this cheesy one.
Saturday
I took a picture of the The Jesus Storybook Bible because I will be posting about it next week. My kids and I have read several story Bibles, but found this one to be unique in that every Old Testament story is tied to Jesus. Have you read this book to your children?
I hope you have had as good of a week as we did!
