This week has almost seemed like two weeks in one. The most exciting part of our week was that my husband was offered a new job. He accepted the position and we are excited to see how it will impact our family.
I can see so many things about it that will be a blessing for us and he hasn’t even started yet. My husband is very smart and competent, so I know this new leadership role will be something he will be great at.
However, he is feeling a little overwhelmed with all there is to learn. I am praying that God will fill him with His wisdom and calmness as he embarks on this new chapter in his career.
Now, here’s a look at the rest of our week, in pictures.
Sunday
Last Sunday we had a picnic after church which was a lot of fun. The weather was perfect and the kids enjoyed all sort of activities including a sack race.
Monday
After Janna’s bath on Monday night I tried to get a picture of her wearing a skirt I made for her. When she was tired of standing she sat down and I took this picture of her wild, after bath hair.
(You will see more about the skirt next week.)
Tuesday
On Tuesday I took the kids to a nearby park where we had a picnic lunch, visited the nature center, went on a trail, and played on the playground. One other thing we did was feed the geese a few pieces of bread.
The geese had hovered around us while we at lunch, so I told the kids we could feed them a little. Later I saw a sign in another location stating that it wasn’t a good idea to feed the geese. Oops! Now we know for next time. Live and learn, right?
Wednesday
If James ever figures out that the vacuum cleaner isn’t really a toy I may be in trouble.
Thursday
Julia took this picture of me sewing a travel pillow closed. My hands may not be manicured and even have dirt from gardening under the nails, but I am thankful for all that I can do with them.
Friday
Speaking of travel pillows, my kids are loving them. We tested them out Friday evening when we went grocery shopping. The kids have decided that they are pretty awesome. Woohoo!
Saturday
This pretty much sums up how we all feel after this week. Joseph has always been able to sleep anywhere and always looks so sweet when his is sleeping.
I hope you had a great week. We sure did.
