My Week in Pictures (4-22-12)

I have been slacking on the daily picture taking. I didn’t even post my weekly picture post last week. To top that off I didn’t take a picture every day.

The may problem lie with the fact that I am in a picture taking rut. Maybe making a list of pictures to take each day during the month of May would be beneficial. I think I will have to give that a try.

Anyway, here is a look at the past two weeks of our life, in pictures.

Monday (4-9)

I didn’t even take a picture that day. I did post about pictures from the week before so I guess that is why I didn’t take any.

Tuesday (4-10)

James was working very hard to build a house/tower out of cards. It wouldn’t surprise me if he became an engineer someday due to his love of Legos and creating things like this.

Wednesday (4-11)

This was one of the pictures I took for my post about the clothespin bags I made.  Notice that white speck in the back of the picture. That is our kitty Princess. What you don’t see is our dog Roscoe at my feet. Our animals wanted to be in on the action, I guess. Poor princess got Photoshopped out of the final picture for that post, though. (Can Photoshop be a verb? Apparently so in Jackie-land.)

Thursday (4-12)

The maple seedlings were so thick on the ground that I thought they were worth lying on the ground to take a picture of.

Friday (4-13)

Just keepin’ it real here. I have 5 children. They are messy.  I have considered getting an inside dog due to the amount of food that ends up on the floor. However, a broom and dustpan do the trick pretty well and I don’t have to let them out to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Saturday (4-14)

No pictures on this day. Hubby and I ended up with strep throat again so we all took it easy that day.

Sunday (4-15)

Janna had just had her bath when I snapped this picture. I love those chubby legs but I am afraid they will start to slim down now that she is walking all of the time. She is barely crawling at all now. My baby is getting so big. Sniff, sniff.

Monday (4-16)

No picture on this day either.

Tuesday (4-17)

Trains have been a big part of our lives for a lot of years. It will be sad when the kids no longer want to play with them. I do not intend to get rid go them, though. I imagine we may someday have grandkids who would like to play with them. Grandkids! That is a scary thought.

Wednesday (4-18)

My husband tilled up the garden last week. It is ready for planting but I think I will hold off another week. The weather has been a little on the cool side lately and the beginning of May is usually a good time for us to plant.

Thursday (4-19)

My boys couldn’t resist pretending to drive the tractor. I remember my brother and I doing that when we were little.

Friday (4-20)

After we went grocery shopping on Friday morning we stopped by a garage sale and purchased all of the craft items pictured for $2.50. I am always on the lookout for things like this at yard sales.

Saturday (4-21)

James got out Twister and the boys had fun playing. Sometimes James was the only one playing but he seemed to think playing by himself was just fine.

Sunday (4-22)

I love this picture. I don’t love it when my kids are sad but this picture captured the fact that Janna can go from calm to crying to calm again in 8.2 seconds. Actually, I don’t know how many seconds it really takes. I just chose an arbitrary number. Anyhoo…

This week I will try to do a better job of taking pictures every day and posting on Saturday like I always intend to. That’s the plan anyway.

Oh, that picture with the tear on Jana’s cheek is so precious.  I am with you when you say it can be so different in just a few seconds.  And the messy floor?  I know what you mean.  It’s amazing how quickly those crumbs gather.

Thanks, Rachel! I’m glad I’m not the only one with messy kitchen floors. :)
